The reason I chose to do hair for a living is a question with multiple answers. The first answer is, I wouldn’t survive a day in the corporate world without being fired. The second answer would have to be, my mother was a stylist when I was young. I would spend most Saturdays and evenings at the salon. Folding towels, answering phone calls, and talking with clients. The final answer to this question that could have been said in a short sentence, is i love people. I love building a connection with my clients. I want to know what they have been up to. I want to know about any struggles they have been having recently, and talk it out. My mothers salon was a lot different than salons are today. People use to go to the salon to gather and chat while getting their services done, and that is what I try to create behind the chair. I have been behind the chair, full time, since September of 2020. I went to Paul Mitchell the School Springfield. I started my career in Farmington MO, and have since moved up to St. Peter’s MO. The salon I work out of is called Hair. It is an open space, with lots of natural light. There are many plants inside that make the atmosphere very calming and grounding. At Hair, we try to make every client feel comfortable in their space, and want to make every client feel heard and welcome. My specialities behind the chair are, custom colors and beaded weft extensions. Hair is an accessory that can be changed to fit your personality or life style.
